Writing Tests

Intended Audience: Students

Introduction:

Writing tests can either be a practice or a graded activity. For graded writing tests, it is crucial to allocate ample time to complete the assignment. If you exit or close the test for any reason, all unsaved work will be lost, and the test will reset from the start.

Details:

To start, locate the Scoring Guide button at the bottom of the page under the “Hints” section and tap it. After that, review the material provided and ensure you have everything required before beginning the task. To input text into the text entry window, you have several options:

  • Use your keyboard to type directly within the text entry window.
  • Tap the keyboard icon (top left) to insert a special character.
  • Compose the text in a word processing program, like Microsoft Word, and then copy and paste it into the text entry window.

Once done, move on to the following question or prompt. Finally, click on the Submit button to complete the task.
A screenshot of a writing test activity is shown with an arrow pointing to the special characters icon, the text entry section and finally to the submit button.
