Intended Audience: Collaborative Instructors
This article pertains to courses taught by local teachers as part of a collaborative partnership.
Introduction:
This article is a guide for setting up two-factor authentication in the Student Learning Portal (SLP). To proceed, you need to have a two-factor authentication app installed on your mobile device, such as Duo Mobile by Duo Security, LLC. This app is available for download on Google Play Store for Android devices and the App Store for Apple devices. If you don't have a smart device, check out the instructions for setting up MFA without one.
Details:
- First, access the SLP website.
- Next, enter your credentials in the Email and Password fields and then tap the Sign in button.
- As a result, you will be prompted to setup two-factor authentication. The two-factor authentication pop-up message is displayed with instructions. The first step provides a QR code to scan along with a box to insert a 6-digit code.
- At this point, you will need to add the account to your two-factor authentication app. Once this is done, you will be provided a 6-digit code.
- Next, copy the code provided and insert it into the step 2 field and then tap SET UP TWO-FACTOR NOW.
- Now, tap the CONTINUE button to proceed to the Student Learning Portal.
- From this point on, when you access the Student Learning Portal, type your login credentials and then obtain the 6-digit code from your mobile device to pass the multi-factor authentication (MFA) and then tap the VERIFY button.
