How to Obtain a Public URL for your Certificate
When you obtain a public URL for your certificate, you will create a page containing your award details that can be accessed by the public. This link can be shared through email, social media, or other means. As long as the issuer maintains the site, the link will remain active.
- First, login to the Professional Learning Portal (PLP).
- Next, launch the course you want to access.
- Then tap the Certificate tab within the navbar and then find the certificate you want to make public.
- Then tap the Share link.
- At this point, you will see the "Share My Award" pop-up. Tap the "More Info" link to review the information.
- Next, tap Create Link and then click on Copy Link to save the URL to your clipboard.
- After you finish, click on the Close button to view your certificates. The selected certificate will now display a globe icon in the lower right corner, indicating that it has been shared publicly.
What will the page look like?
After you access the page using the copied link, it will be redirected to a new URL that starts with "https://lsp...". To ensure optimal sharing of your public URL, it is advisable to utilize this updated link.
How to Remove Access for Publicly Shared URL
If you revoke access to your publicly shared URL, your award will become private again, and the link will no longer be available to the public. Any saved links will also cease to work once access is removed.
- First, login to the Professional Learning Portal (PLP).
- Next, launch the course you want to access.
- Then tap the Certificate tab within the navbar.
- Next, find the certificate from which you want to revoke public access, and then click on the Share link. Please note that publicly shared certificates are indicated by the "Shared to Public Awards" (globe) icon in the lower right corner.
- At this point, click on the trash icon to remove the URL. Note that this action will make the link private again, and any saved links will no longer function.
- Finally, click on the Close button to exit the dialog box.
