Clearinghouse: Adding Links to Website

Intended Audience: Project Contributors

About

Project Contributors have the opportunity to establish a symbiotic relationship between their websites and the Research Clearinghouse, fostering a mutually beneficial exchange of knowledge and resources. To accomplish this, they are encouraged to adhere to the following guidelines, which have been crafted to ensure a seamless and impactful integration.

Instruction

  1. First, review the Landing Page Guidelines
  2. Next, Project Contributors should create prominent links on their websites, directing visitors to the authoritative websites of the Aurora Institute and the Michigan Virtual Learning Research Institute® (MVRLI®). These links serve as gateways, enabling individuals to access the wealth of information and resources offered by these organizations, further enhancing their understanding of the field.
  3. Next, Project Contributors are also advised to incorporate direct links to the Research Clearinghouse itself.

Landing Page Guidelines

Project contributors are required to adhere to specific landing page guidelines when linking to Research Clearinghouse resources. This process outlines those guidelines, ensuring the maintenance of critical components and fostering a consistent and seamless user experience.

  1. The "About" section of the landing page must include the following language:
“The K-12 Online and Blended Learning Clearinghouse is a collaborative effort led by the International Association for K-12 Online Learning (iNACOL) and the Michigan Virtual Learning Research Institute to provide a repository of references to research articles and other publications from the field of K-12 online and blended learning. Click here for more information about the Research Clearinghouse.”
  2. Maintain up-to-date information on keywords and their respective links on partner landing pages. Michigan Virtual and iNACOL will continuously update a list of keywords used to organize the Research Clearinghouse. These keywords include, but are not limited to: At-Risk, Blended Learning, Competency-Based Learning, Evaluation, Online Assessment, Online Survey Methodology, Online Professional Development, Special Education, Standards, and Virtual Schools.
  3. Update the "Date Added" information regularly to assist users in identifying newly added resources. The Research Clearinghouse will employ a convention where the month and year a resource was added is captured in the keyword field. A comprehensive list of date keywords and permalinks for the first year of the Research Clearinghouse will be provided, and these date keywords must be kept up-to-date on the project contributor's landing page.
  4. Ensure that the project contributor's information is accurate and current. An example of a project contributor is the Center on Online Learning and Students with Disabilities (COLSD).
