Michigan's Online Course Catalog serves as a comprehensive information source for parents, students, and schools seeking to make informed enrollment decisions. Visitors can easily search or browse through course offerings without having to register for an account.
Instruction
- Begin by visiting Michigan's Online Course Catalog.
- Next, choose to either:
- Browse by course subject to find available course titles in Michigan public local districts or public school academies.
- Browse district offerings for courses that are available to both enrolled and non-enrolled students in several Michigan school districts.
- Search statewide offerings available to students enrolled in a Michigan public local district or public school academy.
- Search district offerings for courses offered exclusively to students attending select districts.
Browse by Course Subject
Schools, guardians, and students can use Michigan's Online Course Catalog to search for available course titles in Michigan public local districts or public school academies.
- On the homepage, locate the Browse By Course Subject section (lower middle) and click on the linked subject of interest to view all available courses. This will direct you to the Search Results page.
- From there, click on the Course Title of interest to expand general course details. Note that courses displaying "District Only" text to the right of the name are exclusively available to students enrolled in that particular school district.
- Lastly, click on the View Details button to access additional information about the course.
Browse by Specific Districts
Michigan's Online Course Catalog allows schools, guardians, and students to easily browse through courses that are available to both enrolled and non-enrolled students in several Michigan school districts. By utilizing the catalog, users can quickly identify which courses are being offered and how students can register for them.
- On the homepage, locate the Browse By Specific District section (lower right) and click on the linked district of interest to view all available courses. This will direct you to the Search Results page.
- At this point, click on the course title to display its general details. If a course is labeled with "District Only" beside the course name, it is exclusively available to students enrolled in that school district.
- Finally, tap the View Details button to find out more about the course.
Search for Courses Offered Statewide
Michigan’s Online Course Catalog is a useful tool for finding course titles available to students enrolled in a Michigan public local district or public school academy. Follow the steps below to locate these courses.
- To begin, ensure that the All statewide courses radio option is selected in the left menu.
- Then narrow search results by completing one or more of the following options:
- Select an option from the Course Subject field. This will filter results to exclude all course subjects that are not selected.
- Insert Keywords or Course Name in the text field. This action will exclude all courses that do not contain the text entered.
- The current School Year check box should be selected to display all available offerings within the school academic year.
- Choose the Time of Year the student would like to take the course by placing a check in the Fall, Spring, or Summer check boxes.
- Select the appropriate School Level option, High School or Elementary School to locate secondary or prior to secondary courses.
- To narrow results by a content provider, tap the "+ additional search options" link and then choose the appropriate option from the drop-down field.
- Next, tap the Search Courses button to display search results based on the criteria selected above.
- After the Search Courses button is selected, the right side of the page will change to display a list of search results. At this point, tap the linked course name of interest. This will expand a list of offered courses containing that course name.
- Finally, tap the linked Course Title or View Details button to display the course information (description, details, enrollment methods, etc.).
Search for Courses Offered in District
Michigan's Online Course Catalog provides a way to search for courses offered exclusively to students attending select districts. Follow the steps outlined below to locate these courses.
- First, ensure that the Specific District radio option is selected in the left menu.
- Then choose the appropriate option from the School District drop-down field.
- Once the school district is selected, tap the Search Courses button to view all courses offered. To further refine the search results, you can apply additional filters such as Course Subject, Keywords, Course Name, School Year, or Time of Year fields. If you want to search by the content provider, click on the "+ additional search options" link and select the relevant provider from the drop-down field.
- After the Search Courses button is selected, the right side of the page will change to display a list of Search Results. At this point, tap the linked course name of interest. This will expand a list of offered courses containing that course name. Finally, tap the linked Course Title or View Details button. This will display the course information (description, details, enrollment methods, etc.).
