Intended Audience: Students
About
In the Buzz Learning Management System (LMS), the Activities page provides students with a list of everything required to complete the course. This includes pretests, assignments, quizzes, and reviews. This guide explains how students can access and complete those activities.
Instruction
Steps to Access Activities
- Click the three horizontal bars in the top left corner to expand the left-side menu.
- From the expanded menu, click the course name.
- After selecting the course, click on Activities in the menu.
Using the Activities and To-Do List Tabs
The main page includes two tabs:
- Activities (opened by default): Divided into three sections:
- Last Visited/Next Activity: Shows where the student left off and what comes next.
- Search Field: Allows students to search by keywords for a specific task.
- Activity List: Displays all activities in order of completion.
- To-Do List: Shows any activities that are currently due (if applicable).
Completing an Activity
- To begin, students should select any activity from the list to review or complete it.
- A checkmark will appear next to an activity that has been opened, but this does not mean the activity is complete.
Pretests and Exemptions
- It is strongly recommended that students complete the pretest at the beginning of each module. By scoring well on a pretest, students may test out of specific objectives.
- If a student earns exemptions:
- The related lessons, assignments, and quizzes will be removed from the Activities list.
- These exempted tasks will not be counted in the Buzz Gradebook or the Student Learning Portal (SLP) Gradebook.
