Schedule Unit Exams

Intended Audience: Students

About

Before taking a unit exam, students must first complete all required module assignments. Once these are finished, students may request the test password from their instructor and plan when to take the exam. This article outlines the steps and guidelines for scheduling unit exams successfully.

Important Information

  • All unit exams are password-protected.
  • Students are allowed two attempts to complete each unit exam. If both attempts are used, a remediation session must be scheduled with the instructor.
  • Michigan Virtual instructors are available Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM and typically respond to password requests within 24 hours on weekdays.
  • Exams should be scheduled during the school day to allow mentors to be available for support.

Exam Scheduling Guidelines

  • Exam password requests may be made by the student or their mentor.
  • Request the password at least 24 to 48 hours in advance of the planned exam time.
  • Exams should be scheduled Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM.
  • While exams are not timed, students should begin the test only when they have enough uninterrupted time to complete it in one sitting.
