Guardians seeking a flexible, online resource to support a student’s success in math or English can turn to EdReady—a free program available to Michigan families. Whether a student needs additional practice, targeted skill-building, or preparation for the next grade level or college readiness, EdReady provides a personalized learning experience tailored to each learner’s needs.

This article outlines how guardians can register a student for EdReady Math or EdReady English and help them begin building the foundational skills needed for academic growth—at their own pace and on a schedule that works for the family.

Instruction

Part I: Registration Instructions

1. Go to the Michigan Virtual EdReady site homepage at michiganvirtual.edready.org.
2. Click the Get Started button.
   
3. On the Sign Up for EdReady page, enter the student's First name, Last name, Email (this becomes the username), Password and Zip Code. 

   Important: Use a valid and unique email address that will remain accessible. EdReady sends important emails (e.g., password reset) to this address.
   Note: One email = one EdReady account. Guardians registering more than one student must use a different email for each child.

4. Accessibility Options (Optional): If accessibility features (like screen reader support) are needed, click “Show Additional Options” to customize the display. Only select this option if accessibility support is required. It changes how EdReady displays questions and resources.
5. Click the Sign Up for EdReady button.
   

Part II: Confirm the Registration

1. After signing up, a confirmation message will be sent to the email address provided.
2. Open the email from EdReady.
3. Click the confirmation link (or copy and paste it into a browser).
4. Once confirmed, the account is active.

If no confirmation email is received or issues occur during registration, contact the Michigan Virtual Customer Care Center at 888.889.2840 or submit a ticket at help.michiganvirtual.org.
