About
Brightspace users have the option to display their preferred pronouns, such as She/Her, He/Him, or They/Them, on their profile card. This feature helps foster inclusivity and allows students, mentors, instructors, and affiliation users to share their identity respectfully.
- Students can view the pronouns of classmates and instructors in the Discussions tool.
- Instructors can view student pronouns in Quick Eval, Class/User Progress, and Discussions.
Instruction
- First, tap your name from the top of the Brightspace page and then select Account Settings.
- Next, enable the Allow others to see my pronouns checkbox by tapping in the box.
- Then tap the radio button Use different pronouns.
- Finally, type the appropriate pronoun in the open text area below and then tap Save and Close to apply your changes.
