Intended Audience: Students
About
This guide helps students understand how to access and review their quiz submissions and scores in Brightspace, Michigan Virtual’s primary learning platform. Reviewing past quiz attempts helps students reflect on their performance and prepare for future assessments.
To view instructor comments on quiz responses, refer to the separate guide titled Locate and Review Feedback.
Instruction
- After logging into the course, students should locate and click the My Progress option on the top navigation bar (navbar). This area provides an overview of all course activity, including grades, assignments, discussions, and quizzes.
- On the left-hand menu of the My Progress page, students should click on the Quizzes option. This will display a list of all quizzes assigned in the course, along with progress indicators such as completion status and the number of attempts made.
- From the list of completed quizzes, students should locate the quiz they wish to review. Under the quiz name, there will be a section labeled Attempts. Click the linked attempt number (e.g., "Attempt 1") to open the details of that specific quiz submission.
Tip: If the link is not clickable, the instructor may have restricted access to submission views or delayed score release. - After selecting the attempt, a new page will display the student's submitted answers, scores for each question, and any automatic grading results. Use the scroll bar on the right-hand side of the page to move through the full quiz.
Depending on the instructor’s settings, students may also see:- The correct answers for each question (if enabled)
- Their selected responses
- Score breakdown by question or section
- Summary of overall performance
