Participation in Michigan Virtual research activities is voluntary which means there will be no penalty if a student does not want to participate, and it will have no effect on how the student is graded in his or her online courses. We encourage participation, however, if you or your student do not wish to partake in research activities, please follow the instructions below.
- First, compose an email to our Customer Care Center.
- Next, insert “Research” in the Subject field.
- In the Body of the email, type the student’s first and last name as well as the email address the student uses when signing into the Student Learning Portal (SLP). Please also include a sentence indicating that the student does not want to participate in the research activity.
- Finally, tap the Send button.
