By understanding these permissions, facilitators can efficiently navigate courses, track learner engagement, and ensure a smooth learning experience.
Instruction
Accessing Facilitator Permissions
After logging into Brightspace, facilitators will see a list of assigned courses. Each course contains a navigation bar with essential tools, including:
- Course Links > Content – Provides access to all course materials.
- Help & Support – Connects to Customer Care and policy resources.
- Facilitator Dropdown – Offers additional tools and course management options exclusive to facilitators.
Using Course Admin
To access Course Admin and manage course settings:
- First, tap the Facilitator dropdown in the top navigation bar.
- Next, select Course Admin to view the list of available tools.
Below is an overview of key facilitator permissions. It is recommended that facilitators navigate through these options to get familiar with the permissions in their course.
- Class Progress
Displays learner engagement and activity within the course.
Tracks completion of assignments, discussions, and quizzes. - Classlist
Provides a roster of enrolled learners and their last access date.
Verifies participant enrollment status. Grades
Allows facilitators to enter and manage grades in the course grade book.
Enables review of learner submissions and feedback.
Manages grade items and categories required for course completion.Assignments
Displays all course assignments.
Tracks submission deadlines and facilitates review of completed work.Quizzes
Grants access to all quizzes and assessments in the course.
