About
The Professional Learning Portal (PLP) Dashboard features an "Active Courses" tab that displays a list of courses. While most of our courses are hosted on the Brightspace platform, some use SCORM. This document aims to help learners access additional course information based on the utilized platform.
Instruction
- First, tap the Dashboard option on the Professional Learning Portal's left navigation menu.
- Next, tap the Go to Course button within the applicable course tile.
- Utilize the information below to determine additional information about navigating the course.
Brightspace
Brightspace courses will launch in a new browser tab. To the right of the Michigan Virtual Professional Learning Portal logo, learners will find the course title. Beneath this, navigation menus will be visible, including My PLP, Course Links, Help & Support, Check Completion Status, and Certificate. In the address bar of the new tab, learners will observe the term "lsp" displayed. You can refer to the image below for an illustrative example of a Brightspace course layout. SCORM
Courses utilizing the SCORM platform will launch in a compact browser window rather than a tab. The Michigan Virtual logo will appear in the lower-right corner of the window. The links in both the address bar and the new window will include the term "scorm" and will resemble the example image provided below. Refer to SCORM Navigation.
