The MiCourses Administration site now offers batch term importing, streamlining how districts add academic calendar periods. This feature eliminates manual term-by-term entry, saving time while ensuring course syllabi display the correct academic sessions. Watch the video →
Instruction
- First, select the Terms tab from the top of the page and then select the Term Imports button.
- Next, tap the Download a template button to open the CSV file needed for import.
- Next, modify the CSV file.
Note: Do not modify the header row. School Year, Season and Term Type columns are required and values must match one of the options provided in the drop-down fields on the Create an Import page. The "Fall" term type should be selected for school year or open entry/open exit terms. - Once the CSV is complete, save the file.
- Next, return to the Create an Import page and insert a title for the upload within the Name field.
- Then tap the Choose File button to select the saved CSV file to import.
- Once attached, tap the Upload and Map Fields button.
- At this point the Import Terms page will be displayed, tap the Run Import button.
- The results page will display the import name, the import date, the user who uploaded the file, the number of terms, and the completion status. Select the linked text in the Name column to view detailed import information or select the linked text in the Terms column to see the imported terms.
