SLP CI: Preset Variables

Intended Audience: Collaborative Instructors
This article pertains to courses taught by local teachers as part of a collaborative partnership


The Student Learning Portal (SLP) Message Templates provide a standardized way to communicate with students, parents, and mentors. However, it is possible to customize or create your own messages by using variables to make them more personal. If you want to use variables, make sure to read the article about their functionality and proper use. It is crucial to preview the sample on the page before sending any messages to ensure that the variables are working and the message reads the way you want it to.

Provides an overall count of the total assignments in the course
Is embedded based on the syllabus. Can be used to provide guidance to stakeholders regarding requirements to avoid confusion or frustration.
