About
Collaborative Instructors have the option to utilize the Insights Portal in Brightspace to conveniently access analytics about their students enrolled in courses. The dashboards shown below can be dynamically filtered to create a personalized view of student engagement and progress. A list of available dashboards is provided below.
Instruction
- First, tap Data and Insights from the top menu and then select Insights Portal from the drop-down options.
- The Insights Portal page contains two tabs, Dashboards and Analytics Builder.
Dashboards
Within the Dashboards tab, users can access two distinct options: Engagement and Learner Engagement. The Engagement dashboard is designed to swiftly pinpoint disengaged students while showcasing successful student behaviors, offering insights into recent course access, time invested in course content, and assignment progress. Meanwhile, the Learner Engagement dashboard provides comprehensive evaluations of student engagement metrics across multiple courses, presenting detailed course activity, assignment statuses, and course history.
Analytics Builder
The Analytics Builder equips instructors with a powerful suite of tools to effectively track and assist students. By tapping into Gradebook data and monitoring individual course activities, affiliation users gain profound insights into student performance. This enhanced visibility enables them to make well-informed decisions and craft personalized support strategies tailored to each student's needs.
Instructors accessing the Analytics Builder for the first time should complete the First Time Setup instructions.
