The Student Learning Portal (SLP) allows mentors and affiliation users to personalize their dashboard by adding or rearranging widgets. These widgets display important information in a convenient layout. This guide outlines how mentors and affiliation users can customize their dashboard to better meet their needs.

Instruction

Steps to Customize the Dashboard

Select the Customize Dashboard icon (gear symbol) located on the right side of the Dashboard screen.

  • Once selected, a menu will appear with the following options:
    • Reset Dashboard: Return the dashboard to its original layout.
    • Add Chart: Open the widget library to add new charts.
    • Save Changes: Apply the updates made.
    • Cancel Changes: Exit without saving updates.

Adding a Widget

  1. Select Add Chart to open a window with a list of available widgets.
  2. Scroll through the list to find a desired widget.
  3. Click on a line item to view a preview of the widget.
  4. Tap Select Chart to add the widget to the dashboard.

Reorganizing the Dashboard

Mentors and affiliation users can organize widgets by:

  • Reordering Widgets: Use a pointing device (e.g., a mouse) to click and drag a widget to a new location on the page. Release to drop the widget into place.
  • Resizing Widgets: Click the Width drop-down menu on a widget to change its size. Options include: 100%, 66%, 50%, or 33%.
  • Removing Widgets: Click the red “X” in the upper-right corner of any widget to remove it from the dashboard.

Saving or Canceling Changes

  • Select Save Changes to apply all modifications.
  • Select Cancel Changes to exit without saving any updates.
