Guardian: Add Another Student to Account

About

When a guardian needs to be associated with more than one student in the Student Learning Portal (SLP), this cannot be done directly through the portal. Instead, assistance from the Customer Care Center is required. This guide explains the steps guardians should follow to add additional students to their SLP accounts. 

Instruction

  1. Reach out to the Customer Care Center for help with adding another student to the guardian’s SLP account.
  2. Ask the Customer Care Representative to associate the additional student with the guardian’s existing SLP account.
  3. After the update is made, exit the SLP and log back in to confirm that the changes have been applied.
  4. To view different students, use the Change Student dropdown located in the top navigation bar of the SLP.

This process is intended for guardians who have more than one student enrolled in a Michigan Virtual course. For further assistance, the Customer Care Center is available to help with any questions.
