Monitor Student Activity Using the "No Access" Widget

Intended Audience: Mentors, Affiliation Users

About

Monitoring student engagement is critical for supporting academic success. The "No Access" widget on the mentor dashboard in the Student Learning Portal (SLP) provides a list of students who have not logged into their course in the past seven days. This guide explains how mentors and affiliation users can access and use this tool to identify students who may need additional support.

Instruction

  1. From the top menu bar, tap MySLP. By default, the Dashboard page will open, displaying notifications and widgets.
  2. Scroll down the Dashboard to find the widget labeled "No Access in the SLP in 7 Days." If the widget is not visible on the Dashboard, it can be added by using the Customize option.
  3. The widget displays important information:
    • First Name: The student’s first name.
    • Last Name: The student’s last name.
    • Email Address: The student’s email address.
    • Last Login Date: The date the student last accessed the SLP.

Use the scroll bar on the right side of the widget to view additional students if the list is long.

Additional Information

  • Identifying students who have not accessed their courses helps mentors and affiliation users intervene early and provide necessary support.
  • Regular monitoring of the "No Access" widget can help improve overall student engagement and course completion rates.
