What Should Students Be Working on This Week?

Intended Audience: Students

About

Most courses in the Student Learning Portal (SLP) include a pacing guide that outlines which activities or assignments should be completed each week. This tool helps students stay on track and manage their time throughout the course.

Note: Advanced Placement (AP) courses do not include pacing guides in the SLP. Students enrolled in AP courses should refer to the AP Pacing Guide article instead.

Instruction

  1. First, log in to the Student Learning Portal.
  2. On the Dashboard, locate the course tile for the appropriate class.
  3. In the bottom-right corner of the course tile, select the Pacing Guide button.
The student dashboard is shown with two courses, one an AP course with no pacing guide, the other a non AP course with a pacing guide. An arrow points to the non AP courses pacing guide. This will open a new tab showing the current week's assignments. Each week number is clickable—selecting a week will display a list of assignments in a table below.

Additional Information

Printing the Pacing Guide
To print the entire pacing guide, students can select the Print all weeks button located in the top-right corner of the pacing guide page.

Important for Collaborative Courses
In collaborative courses, where a local teacher supports the course, the pacing may differ from what is shown in the SLP. In these cases, students should follow the pacing provided by their local teacher.
