Intended Audience: Guardians
Introduction
This process explains how guardians can use the Student Learning Portal (SLP) Dashboard to track their student's course progress and provide necessary support.
Details
To start, it's important to familiarize yourself with a few key areas of the SLP:
- Your full name will always be visible in the top right corner of the page. This allows you to edit your account details or exit the SLP.
- If you are monitoring multiple students, their names will appear in the top menu bar. If a student is not listed and you have multiple students, please follow the process to add another student to your account.
- On the dashboard page, you will see tiles for each course. These tiles contain information such as the course score, teacher, assignments, and pacing guides. Please note that while guardian accounts do not have access to the actual course content, you can use your account to monitor your student's progress.
Select one of the options provided in the menu on the left-hand side:
- To view the contact information of the assigned mentor, select Mentor Information from the left navigation menu. Please note that if a guardian enrolls a student, the student will not have an assigned mentor.
- To enroll your student in a course, click on Course Registration and search for available classes.
- Select the Gradebook option to view the instructor's name and email, as well as an overview of the assignments.
- Click on Student Information to view details about your student.
- The option to Edit Account permits you to modify your login password.
- Choose Ledger from the menu to access a record of recent transactions associated with course enrollments.
