Intended Audience: Guardians
About
This guide explains how a guardian can use their account in the Student Learning Portal (SLP) to monitor a student’s course activity, track progress, and support academic success. While guardians do not have access to course content, they can view important updates, pacing, and instructor information from the dashboard.

Key Features of the Guardian Dashboard
After logging into the SLP, the guardian will see several important sections designed to help monitor student learning:
- The guardian’s full name is displayed in the top right corner of the page. Selecting this allows access to account settings and the option to log out.
- If the guardian is monitoring multiple students, their names will appear in the top menu bar. If a student is missing from the account, the guardian can follow the process to add another student.
The dashboard shows course tiles for each class the student is currently enrolled in. These tiles display the student’s score, instructor name, assignments, and access to pacing guides. The dashboard also includes access to additional tools in the left-hand navigation menu.
Menu Options for Guardians

- Gradebook: The Gradebook displays an overview of assignments for each course. It also lists the instructor’s name and contact information. Guardians can select "View Details" for more assignment-specific progress.
- Student Information: This section contains personal and academic information related to the student, including name, grade level, and address.
