Identifying a Student’s Course LMS

Michigan Virtual uses multiple Learning Management Systems (LMS) to deliver course content. In order to access details such as student progress and current grades, affiliation users and mentors may need to identify the LMS assigned to a student’s course. This article outlines the process for locating the LMS information within the Student Learning Portal (SLP).

Steps to Identify the LMS

  1. Affiliation users and mentors should first access the SLP login page and log into their account.
  2. Select the Students tab located in the top menu bar.
  3. Within the displayed roster, select the linked name of the student whose course information needs to be viewed.
  4. Once the student's Basic Information page is displayed, locate the LMSIDs section. The LMSIDs area provides a table listing the LMS platforms being used for the student’s courses:

Steps to Access the LMS and View Progress

  1. Tap the MySLP tab located in the top menu bar.
  2. From the left navigation menu, select Go to Courses.
  3. In the "Courses" section, select the appropriate icon located next to the LMS corresponding to the course. Tapping the correct icon will open the LMS platform where student progress and course details can be reviewed.
